Scout is a 24 year old humyn with a desire to unfold the never ending complexities of gender. They have never felt fully female or male. Feeling somewhere in the middle, sometimes both, they wonder why that is.
Being socialized as female, but desiring a more “masculine” body, and having the urge to carry children and breast feed in the future, their wants might be seen as conflicting; not only by others, but by themself as well. For years they have sought clarity, self-love, self-validation, and a strong sense of understanding by exploring gender identity, gender expression, the gender binary, and how it all varies through different cultures.
For the last few years, Scout has been considering transitioning away from their “female” form. In 2015 they gave themself the freedom to explore their gender more, wearing a new wardrobe, presenting differently, seeing a gender therapist, and eventually trying hormone replacement therapy. They soon decided that was not the path they wanted to take at this point in their life and discontinued HRT for the time being… continuing to consider the endless possibilities on a daily basis.
Currently, Scout is aiming to explore the world of gender in the lives of others across the country and the world.
